Project Templates are used to quickly replicate a project's general and RFP content; it's their only purpose, they can never be published.

Your templates appear as entries in your project list with a light blue background.

There are two ways to add templates to your project list:

  • By making one based on one of your existing projects. Use the Make template tab from the  Project Hub  menu.
  • By copying one from the list of Shared Templates. Use  Shared templates  from the Main menu. Shared Templates are generic templates provided by the application, for example 'Residential Self Build'.

When you select a template entry, the  button appears; use this button to create a project and initialize it with data from the selected Template.

The data carried forward (copied) when making a template based on a project and when creating projects from the template are:

  • Project Profile (Job, Type and Brief Description only)
  • Project Scope

and, for every RFP in the Project:

  • RFP document text
  • LOI (Letter Of Interest) text
  • Skills requirements.

All copied data is, of course, adaptable after copy, using the usual  Project Hub  functionality.

The following are not copied:

  • Followers, Responders, Vendors Private Participants (Owners and Prequalified Suppliers)
  • Canceled RFPs
  • The 5 RFP milestone dates
  • Proposals
  • Arrangements
  • Attachments
  • News
  • Scope and Rfp Releases
  • All Update time stamps and LOI Freezes.

The Template is set to:

  • Stage Concept
  • Unpublished.

Templates are very flexible:

  • They can be modified through the  Project Hub , the same way as any project
  • New Templates can be made from existing Templates (as well as from projects).
