Letter Of Intent (LOI)
A Letter Of Intent (LOI) is an interim agreement confirming that you are pursuing the finalization of an Arrangement, subject to due diligence, additional information and/or fulfillment of any conditions. It is an "agreement to agree".
The LOI document is forwarded to the Responder you Award the business to (the Winner).
There is a separate LOI for each RFP.
Before business may be awarded, the Manager must Prepare and Freeze a LOI.
After Award:
- The Winner sees the LOI on his Proposal screen
- Other Responders see a Regrets phrase.
Note that:
- Contact information may exchanged through the LOI and/or Arrangement documents
- To copy LOI text across RFPs as well as to the Arrangement document may be useful
- Checklists of standard or template paragraphs may also be useful.
